Spiritual
abuse occurs in a cultic Christian groups when leaders misuse the Bible to wield
excessive authority and control over God's people. This site was born in 2002 to expose the cultic* nature of
the Geftakys Assembly ministry. We soon learned that many other legalistic
Bible-based groups have similar problems, even though they may subscribe to the
basics of orthodox Christian doctrine.
In "Articles and Resources" we share the guideposts, both practical and spiritual, that helped us sort out the confusion and pain. New items are posted on the "What's New" homepage. *Note: We use the word 'cult' on this site in the sociological sense, referring to conduct of aberrant groups, not their doctrine. Our scope is limited to those groups which are for the most part within Christian orthodoxy on major doctrines, but operate in a cultic manner. Read more »»
